I’m so loving my new pair of red Crocs footwear.

These slip-resistant shoes are so comfy — very easy to slip on and off. No need to tie shoelaces!

I also like it that my Crocs shoes enable my feet to “breathe” well (no foot odor after each use), thanks to Crocs’ effective ventilation system (those holes do serve a purpose). They are also incredibly light, which adds to the comfort factor.

And since Crocs shoes are water-resistant, they are the perfect shoes for boating, gardening, or walking in the rain.

While Crocs critics will argue about the “funny look” of the Crocs Cayman — one can actually look like a cartoon character in them, especially when you choose the loud colors — I’d say that the boat-like appearance is not that bad, aesthetically speaking (I love the wide, roomy feature this design allows). One can actually look cute wearing them. So it’s just a matter of preference and personal style. Of course, one should not wear a pair of Crocs when going to a business meeting. That’s plain common sense.

The downside is, many people have them already. So when you own a pair of Crocs, it may look like you’re just trying to be part of the Crocs trend, even when you’re not.

It only goes to show that people nowadays put much premium on cool designs that provide 100 percent comfort.

Thanks to Crocs, I do have happy feet these days.

I actually first contemplated on buying a pair of Crocs — for my Mom, that is — way back in 2006. But I never got around to doing it.

I’m an incidental owner of Crocs shoes. My husband, brother, nephew, niece, and I had to buy these shoes at a department store during a Swiss day tour, when our shoes got wet after sledding on a hilltop.

    We just love our Crocs!

Good thing about Crocs is - you can wear them both to dry wet feet after sledding and to wet your feet on the beech. I have my own Crocs and contrary to what the design suggests, they are even practical and comfortable for driving.

People here I guess have the happiest feet on earth. They always wear sandals everyday and everywhere even in business meetings. LOL

Crocs are so popular in Canada, they even sell little jewelery to pin on the shoes!

I don’t find them ugly but way overpriced. If I were living by the beach, maybe but in the city… nah.

    No offense ;-)

Schweizer, I’m not so sure if Crocs shoes are ideal for driving (but that’s just me). But you’re right about Crocs being the practical shoes for drying wet feet after sledding. :-) I also use my Crocs indoors.

    Myepinoy, hahaha! Yeah, I agree!

Zhu, no offense at all. People have different tastes. As for the price, well, I’ve gotten used to high prices of shoes, clothes, accessories, and other stuff here in Switzerland - LOL. BTW, I live near a Swiss lake. Plus, I enjoy going on boat rides and walking in the rain. So I guess I’m meant to have Crocs. :-)

My daughter has crocs - very handy, esp if you’re going swimming - pool or the beach. A great alternative to the flip-flops yet you can go places with it. Now I may have to buy one myself :)

So that what they are called, crocs. I see a lot of them here and they do really look funny (if worn by an adult but they are cute when worn by chidren) compared to the traditional spartan sandals. My cousin call them the “stroke shoes” because, according to him, it is the ideal sandals for people who’ve had stroke. :-) (No offense meant :-)

A colleague swears by these crocs.:P The Mary Jane-style crocs also look very cute and dainty. I might just become a convert soon.:)

I personally think Crocs are a bit overpriced. I saw another brand Holey Soles that gives the same benefit as Crocs’ but is way cheaper and not so big. I know that Crocs has other more lady-like styles like the Mary Janes, which I like. However, the more famous design seen in your pic looks too big for me and Holey Soles has a more sleek look using the same design. I think it all boils down to marketing as well, like McDonald’s is more patronized than Burger King, though I prefer the burgers at Burger King. Just my opinion, though.

BW, yes, buy yourself a pair of Crocs. :-) My husband was reluctant at first to buy himself a pair of Crocs (he’s not into funky designs, you see; he sticks to the classic look, which is ok). But I was able to convince him later on that Crocs are cool and comfy. Now he really loves wearing his Crocs (the grey ones on the pic). I wonder if your daughter has the Dora the Explorer Crocs for kids (my niece bought a pair here).

LOL. Stroke shoes! That’s funny, George. About the funny look of Crocs (Cayman) on adults, I sometimes feel like Ronald McDonald when I walk around town wearing my red Crocs — really. But they’re so comfortable I don’t care anymore how I look. (BTW, there are fake Crocs being sold here — and also there. My budget-conscious Ilocano mother bought a pair of fake Crocs for herself in time for the rainy season.)

Sining, my sister and sister-in-law prefer the more feminine designs of Crocs, too. I think the Mary Jane Crocs would look good on you!

Judred, people do say that Crocs are overpriced (Zhu included). I bought mine for CHF69.90 (PHP2,980.00) or USD67.00. I think a pair of Crocs for adults would cost like PHP2,000 plus a pair in the Philippines, I’m not sure. Having said this, I still don’t regret buying my Crocs shoes. I wear them practically everyday (indoors and outdoors). I checked out Holey Soles online. I agree that their version of the Crocs Cayman looks more sleek. But it’s kinda hard to judge based on Net photos alone. (I love the burgers at Burger King, too, although I’m not really a burger person. McDo indeed has an effective marketing/advertising & PR strategy.)

Hi Jayred, crocs are very comfy! I have 3 pairs of crocs in different designs! Bright pink for the original design, dark purple for Mary Jane and golden/beige for the ballerina flats. Love them! But it can get a little hot and sweaty feet esp with the weather here on the sunny island! ;)
It’s rather easy to wash and dry. It’s so handy on rainy days! :)

Wow Crocs is rather expensive in Switzerland eh? The original design(the one featured here) retails for SGD$52 or around USD$39.

I bought mine at much at a further 20% discount. It’s good that we often have sales here :)
Btw, now the annual Great Singapore Sale has started! Best time to come here in June with all the great offers :)
